Bob Borchers

General Partner, Opus Capital

A mobile and consumer marketing veteran with more than 20 years operating experience, Bob Borchers comes to Opus Capital from Apple, Inc where he served as Sr. Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for the iPhone.

At Opus, Bob is focused on investments in mobile software and services platforms as well as consumer oriented mHealth. As part of the original iPhone team, Bob was instrumental in the development, launch and global expansion of the revolutionary iPhone, iPhone OS, App Store. While at Apple he also led the Nike+iPod partnership, expanded the iPod accessory ecosystem, and forged relationships with every major auto company to provide iPod integration.

Prior to Apple, Bob was Vice President of Marketing at FusionOne, a pioneer in creating and marketing mobility solutions. Bob also spent six years at Nokia where he co-founded and served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Vertu business unit. Before his career in the mobile industry, Bob worked for Nike, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon, where he led efforts in product and service personalization. He began his career doing research and development in prosthetics.

Bob holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters Degree from a joint program between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Medical School in Health Sciences and Technology. He has more than 30 patents granted or pending.

Peter Gardner

Founder and CEO, StartGrid

Peter has spent almost 20 years as a venture capital investor, helping seed and early-stage entrepreneurs scale. Most recently he co-founded Wavepoint Ventures, a seed fund pursuing investments across Northern California including in smaller communities outside of Silicon Valley. He started his career as a lab geek and then as a project leader at Weston Solutions. He's passionate about social entrepreneurship and sits on the Board of the Center for Science, Technology and Society at Santa Clara University. He's also a judge for The Tech Awards in theeconomic development category and has advised PATH.org on the use of venture capital to advance global health. He has a BS from Tufts and and MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies from The Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Kevin F. Adler is a sociologist entrepreneur on a mission to end loneliness, one potluck at a time. He is the Founder and CEO of inthis, makers of the Potlucks app which helps people find and organize potlucks nearby, like Meetup around the dinner table. He is an active startup advisor, actor, writer, and would-be NBA player in SF.

Kevin is a Managing Director of FounderDating in San Francisco, a founding trustee of the Awesome Foundation-SF, and an advisor to recovers.org, USEED, Oxypreneurship, and the Lawton Chiles Prep School.

Kevin studied social capital as a graduate student at the University of Cambridge and Occidental College, where he received the Culley Award as the top graduating senior. His book, Catalyst: How A Disaster Can
Bring Us Together or Tear Us Apart, will be published by UPA this fall. His writing has appeared in the The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, International Educator, two edited volumes: Community Disaster Recovery and Resiliency and An Education in Facebook (forthcoming). Kevin is a blogger for the Huffington Post.

Previously, Kevin was the co-founder of alumn.us and BetterGrads, and served for a year as a Rotary Ambassadorial scholar in Oaxaca, Mexico.

He lives on San Bruno Mountain in the outskirts of San Francisco, where he enjoys trail running and hosting epic fireside potlucks.

Rob Herb

Rob is currently a Venture Partner at Scale Venture Partners (ScaleVP) in Foster City, CA. ScaleVP has over $1B of capital under management and invests in Information Technology companies across the United States.

Rob currently serves on the Board of NComputing (a private, venture backed Desktop Virtualization company), Discera (a private, venture backed semiconductor/MEMS based timing solutions provider), Lumension (a private, venture backed end point security company) and IMT (a private, venture backed MEMS manufacturing facility).

He formally served as an independent director of MIPS Technologies, Inc (Compensation and Strategy committees of this public company which licenses Microprocessor IP), Enpirion (a private, venture backed semiconductor/MEMS based power solutions company acquired by Altera), Siimpel (a MEMS based semiconductor providing actuators for the cell phone camera market acquired by Tessera) and on the Board of Ageia Technologies (a semiconductor company focused on Physics processing and acquired by NVidea).

Prior to Joining ScaleVP in 2005, Rob held the position of Executive Vice President and CMO, while serving in the office of the CEO at AMD. Rob was with AMD for over 20 years and held a variety of executive management, sales, and marketing positions.

Prabhu Soundarrajan

Prabhu Soundarrajan is an entrepreneurial-minded executive with over a decade of experience in VC and PE backed companies focusing on technology for energy, industrial and instrumentation markets. He is currently severs as director at Honeywell International Inc. (NYSE: HON), a $40B global technology leader in Energy Efficiency, Safety and Security.
Prabhu has held several executive roles in VC / PE funded companies and has operational experience in buy and sell side. Prabhu has strong technical background with bachelors and masters in engineering and is a graduate of Anderson school of business at University of California with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
